Faculty
Nic Cheeseman
Professor of Democracy at the University of Birmingham. Formerly the Director of the African Studies Centre at Oxford University, he is the Founding Director of Birmingham’s Centre for Elections, Democracy, Accountability and Representation (CEDAR).
He mainly works on democracy, elections and development and has conducted in-country research in a range of African countries including Ghana, Kenya, Malawi, Nigeria, Uganda, Zambia, and Zimbabwe, but has also published on Latin America and post-communist Europe
Professor John Peters
Royal Air Force fighter, Former prisoner of war, and Previous Chair of the Association of MBAs.
John Peters, Former Chair of the Association of MBAs, Top World Leadership Speaker and Survivor Par Excellence, has been Visiting Professor in many UK universities (e.g., Aston University and Henley Business School). John Peters came to the world’s attention in January 1991, when his bruised and battered face flashed across television screens around the world as a prisoner of war. It was his disfigured image that became a potent symbol of Saddam Hussein’s ruthless aggression.
Dr. TB (Mac) McClelland, Jr
Dr. T. B. (Mac) McClelland, Jr., is the Chairman of The Luxury Council International, a by-invitation professional organization whose 1100 brand members market products and services to high net worth individuals. He was previously General Manager of Enron Middle East and Group Director (Eastern Hemisphere) for J. Ray McDermott, S.A. Before joining McDermott, Dr. McClelland served for 20 years in senior leadership positions in the U.S. Marine Corps. Dr. McClelland holds a Doctorate of Management in Organizational Leadership; a B.A. in Mathematics; a M.A. in Human Resources Management; and, a M.A. in International Policies Studies
